Start with what you already know how to do. Bookkeeping, tutoring, customer support, transcription, and pet sitting all pay reasonably and hire people of every age. Experience is an advantage in every one of them.
Be cautious with anything that requires payment to begin, promises unusual returns, or pressures you to decide quickly. Real work pays you; it doesn’t charge you for the privilege.
Set a modest, specific target—say, covering the grocery bill—and stop when you reach it. Side income should make life easier, not quietly turn into a second job you never agreed to.
